Work With Me

I'm Lucy – a multi award-winning solo travel expert and adventure travel creator. I'm the travel blogger behind Solo Travel Buzz and proud winner of Content Creator of the Year at the TravMedia Awards 2026.

My mission is simple: to empower women to feel safe, confident and inspired to explore the world solo – while helping travel brands connect authentically with modern travellers.

My passion lies in showcasing off-the-beaten-path destinations, alternative ways to experience popular places, and slow, immersive travel that creates real emotional connections. If there's an adventure to be found, I'm ready to tell its story – and I bring 20 years experience of marketing, journalism and content creation, to every single one.

As an Anglo-Mauritian solo traveller, representation isn't an add-on to my work – it's part of the lens I tell every story through. I'm passionate about widening who adventure travel is imagined for, and who gets to tell its stories.

Recognition from the travel industry's biggest names tells you what my audience already knows – this is content you can trust:

🏆 Content Creator of the Year – TravMedia Awards 2026
🏆 Highly Commended, Blog Story of the Year – Inspire Global Media Awards 2026 (celebrating positive impact storytelling)
🏆 Highly Commended, Travel – UK Blog Awards 2016
🏛️ Member of the British Guild of Travel Writers

These aren't just accolades – they reflect a consistent commitment to high-quality journalism, ethical travel storytelling, and content that genuinely moves people.

My content doesn't just look good – it performs. Through high-quality video, photography and storytelling, I consistently deliver strong engagement and measurable results for brand partners.

My blog features in-depth destination guides, road trip itineraries, festival coverage, arts, culture and gastronomy content – all built on SEO-focused foundations to keep working for your brand long after the campaign ends.

I'm a regular contributor to Much Better Adventures magazine and Matador Network, and I've appeared on BBC1's Morning Live and Channel 5's Million Pound Motorhomes, alongside features in high-profile travel and lifestyle publications.

Beyond destination content, I'm committed to widening who adventure travel storytelling speaks to – and for.

My Much Better Adventures feature, "It Felt Like I Was Trespassing on the Privilege of Adventure Travel", confronts the industry's lack of representation head-on – combining my own lived experience as an Anglo-Mauritian solo traveller with first-person testimony, backed by hard data on how representation shapes travel decisions.

I also built the community to match the message: Solo Adventure Gals, a 2,500-strong space empowering women to travel solo safely and confidently, alongside Her-story, my ongoing series spotlighting forgotten women-led histories through destinations worldwide.

For brands, this means content that doesn't just reach an audience – it reflects one, and consistently uses that reach to make travel storytelling feel like it's for everyone.
